Many thanks to everyone who helped to raise awareness on World Leprosy Day and World NTD Day! On World NTD Day, the Kigali Declaration Commitment Tracker was launched to capture and monitor resources invested in NTD programmes, and to track commitments made by partners.
The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene has launched a call for papers on mental health, stigma and NTDs. Make sure to submit your manuscript timely, before the 30th of April!

First WHO Global Meeting on Skin NTDs
27-31 March, 2023
The WHO Department of Control of NTDs is organizing the First WHO Global Meeting on Skin NTDs at WHO Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. The meeting will be hybrid (in person and online) and will be conducted in English, French and Spanish with simultaneous interpretation. There will be oral presentations and posters and a book of abstracts will be published.
Call for papers: Mental health, stigma and Neglected Tropical Diseases
The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene has launched a call for papers on mental health, stigma and NTDs, to be published in a supplement of International Health. The aim of the supplement is to reflect on achievements and challenges to date, to collate current research and lessons learned, and to outline ambitions for policy engagement to drive further progress in the field. Deadline of submission is 30 April, 2023.
Kigali Declaration Commitment Tracker
A new interactive online tool has been launched to help track global resources to end NTDs. The Kigali Declaration Commitment Tracker is designed to capture, track and monitor commitments to the Kigali Declaration on NTDs. It enables partners in the NTD community to understand the volume of resources being invested in NTD programmes and to hold endorsers of the declaration accountable for the commitments they made.
World NTD Day 2023 Webinar
The WHO and Uniting to Combat NTDs organised a webinar to celebrate World NTD Day on 30 January, 2023. In case you missed the event, the recording of the full webinar is available on Youtube.

World Health Day is celebrated annually and draws attention to a specific health topic of concern to people all over the world. This year, the World Health Organization will observe its 75th birthday.
Global Appeal 2023 | Sasakawa Health Foundation
The Global Appeal 2023 to End Stigma and Discrimination against Persons Affected by Leprosy and the International Symposium at the Vatican on Hansen's Disease took place on 23-24 January, 2023. All recorded sessions are available on the website.
Maximising the untapped potential of NTD platforms to reach marginalised communities during future global health crises.

How can community NTD services and delivery mechanisms be leveraged to promote risk reduction behaviours and prevent misinformation amongst hard-to-reach communities during future pandemic responses? This COR-NTD Research Link session will highlight key lessons to take forward, and to adapt programme and emergency responses to future global crises.
Achieving the WHO 2030 NTD Roadmap goals: systems and data-driven approaches to improve program strategy, planning and implementation for the elimination of PC-NTDs

This COR-NTD Research Link session seeks to focus on the shifts in approaches used to address NTDs as outlined in the WHO 2030 Roadmap. This session will provide a real-world example of integration as experienced by the Ethiopia NTD programme. Further, the session will illustrate gaps, approaches and best practices for the overall data process for NTDs - data availability and access, analysis and visualization and data use and feedback.
RSTMH Early Career Grants Programme
The RSTMH 2023 Early Career Grants Programme opened for applications from early career researchers and global health professionals based anywhere in the world. Projects can be on any topic related to tropical medicine and global health, from across the research spectrum of lab, translation, implementation and policy.
