Save the dates! The Bergen International Conference on Hansen's Disease: 150 Years Since the Discovery of the Leprosy Bacillus will take place June 21-22, 2023, in Bergen, Norway. The conference is organized by Sasakawa Leprosy (Hansen's Disease) Initiative and the University of Bergen in Norway. The NNN Annual Conference will take place 19th - 21st September 2023 at the Hyatt Regency, Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. The Annual COR-NTD meeting will take place 16th - 17th of October 2023 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. More information on these and other events can be found at the bottom of this newsletter.
We would like to welcome Josephine Breman-Srivastava, who has joined Infolep & InfoNTD as the Support Officer. We would like to thank Marente Mol for her dedication and wish her all the best in her future endeavours.

The Bergen International Conference on Hansen's Disease: 150 Years Since the Discovery of the Leprosy Bacillus
June 21-22, 2023. Bergen, Norway
The conference is organized by Sasakawa Leprosy (Hansen's Disease) Initiative and the University of Bergen in Norway. It will bring together key leprosy stakeholders from around the world for two days of discussions focused on three pillars: medical, social, and historical. The Bergen Conference is an opportunity to draw on the knowledge, experience and wisdom of many people at the place where M.leprae was first observed 150 years ago, and to build momentum to complete "the last mile in leprosy".

This European Congress on Tropical Medicine and International Health 2023 will be hosted in Utrecht, the Netherlands. The focus of this year's conference is equitable and sustainable planetary health. Abstracts can now be submitted - the deadline is 30 April!
Call for papers: Mental health, stigma and Neglected Tropical Diseases
The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene has launched a call for papers on mental health, stigma and NTDs, to be published in a supplement of International Health. Deadline of submission is 30 April, 2023.
NNN Conference 2023
September 19-21, 2023
The NNN Conference 2023 will take place at the Hyatt Regency in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. The theme for this years' conference is: "Reaching new frontiers - powering a new generation of leadership and cross-sectoral collaborations to end NTDs." The theme reflects NNN's commitment to cross sectoral collaborations and partnerships centering endemic voices in the fight against NTDS.
Call for Submissions 2023 | NNN
NNN has opened the submission portal for its 2023 Annual Conference workshops and Rapid-Fire sessions. The workshops are supposed to be 90 minutes. The Rapid Fire are supposed to be 9-12 minutes, followed by a Q&A session. For more information on the sub-themes of the conference and the submission guidance document please refer to the NNN website linked above. Deadline of submission is 30th of April.
COR-NTD Annual Meeting
October 16-17, 2023
The COR-NTD Annual Meeting will be held in October in Chicago. The meeting will consists of hybrid plenary sessions, in-person breakout sessions, and a virtual Innovation Lab.
Else Kröner Fresenius Award for Development Cooperation in Medicine 2023- Leprosy focused
The award, endowed with 100.000 €, acknowledges outstanding projects which contribute toward improving medical healthcare in developing countries along with those persons from organizations who are responsible for the projects. Proposals are encouraged which involve successful projects from OECD DAC-listed countries that are based on partnership. Deadline for submission is 1st of May, 2023.
