Ref.: Might further delay after releasing from treatment (RFT) or after the most recent nerve function loss or nerve tenderness have lessened the neuritis risk?
From: Jean Watson
Greetings Angelika,
Thanks for your interesting query (LML Jan 23rd, 2010). Sorry to hear of the problems encountered. In case your answers give any clues to the post-operative neuritis I'd be interested to hear:
What was the time relationship of the surgery that was followed by function loss to:
a)
Completion of MDT?
b)
Most recent pre-operative neuritis/nerve tenderness as far as is ascertainable?
c)
Most recent loss of sensation or strength? ... rather than to the timing of the START of this loss. i.e. Sometimes the timing of loss covers some weeks and there is a risk period for neuritis after RFT.
The question in my mind is: might further delay after RFT or after the most recent nerve function loss or nerve tenderness have lessened the neuritis risk? I certainly met numbers of patients suffering nerve function loss after RFT, particularly during the first year after RFT and sometimes later in MB cases. What are your thoughts on this?
Greetings,
Jean Watson
