Leprosy Mailing List – July 28th, 2012
Ref.: African Dermatopathology is desperately in need of addresses where large numbers of biopsies could be processed
From: C Massone, Graz, Austria
Dear Salvatore,
We read with interest the e-mail of Prof. Ryan [LML July 26th, 2012].
As this is my first time I am writing to the LML, I have shortly to introduce myself: I work as dermatologist and dermatopathologist at the Department of Dermatology in Graz since 2005, I was trained in leprosy in Genoa, Moshi and Manaus. I collaborate with Brazilian colleagues in Manaus and Vitória since 2008, I had the pleasure to be editor with E. Nunzi on the book "Leprosy, A Practical Guide" for which I wrote the histopathology chapter among others.
It is a pleasure for us to offer our availability to receive and report in Graz leprosy biopsies from African colleagues with no charge. We cannot unfortunately offer an unlimited service due to our obligations. Anyhow, details should be arranged with each single institution.
Yours sincerely,
Cesare Massone, MD
