"numbness of whole finger and little pain at the tip of the middle finger"
From: S. R. Narahari, Kasaragod, Kerala, India
Dear Members,
A neurologist referred a 16 years old girl to me today. She complained of numbness of whole finger and little pain at the tip of the middle finger on right side. Neurologist found that compound muscle action potential (CMAP) from both median nerves showing normal values. No motor or sensory deficit. Neurologist thought that there is right median nerve involvement ant cubital fossa.
O/E there are no other contributory signs. Neurologist wants to conduct MRI spine if Hansen's disease is ruled out. I request learned members opinion on this clinical picture.
Best regards,
S. R. Narahari
