From:  Marivic F. Balagon, Cebu, Philippines

Dear Pieter,

Recent findings suggest that leprosy control services in urban localities  are less  structured and poorly coordinated/ implemented, thus the need to find strategic measures to address this problem.

To improve leprosy control services in urban settings, ILEP conducted a global survey  to  identify and address various issues and concerns through sharing of expertise and“ best practices “among  leprosy health workers .

The enclosed document summarizes our findings and recommendations which we would like to share with our colleagues in leprosy work, particularly in urban settings.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Marivic F. Balagon,M.D.
