Dear Dr. Schreuder,
Thank you so much for sharing with us the findings of Dr. Khalid al Aboud (LML, December 1, 2017) about lepraphobia. I had never heard about it before.
As a person affected by leprosy and working with other persons affected by leprosy I am particularly interested in stigma and moreover in learning about ways to overcome stigma. In this respect, I have a few questions:
- In what ways is lepraphobia similar to stigma?
- Is there any indication as to how lepraphobia could be ¨cured¨?
