From:  Roos Geutjes and Josephine Nreman-Srivastava, Amsterdam, the Netherlands

Dear colleagues,

Congratulations to Mali and Benin and everyone involved in the elimination of Trachoma as a public health problem!

More exciting news! The American Leprosy Mission (ALM), with funding support from Anesvad Foundation and the Raoul Follerau Foundation, launches a ground-breaking Skin Disease Diagnostics Development that can simultaneously detect five skin neglected tropical diseases (Buruli Ulcer, Leprosy, Yaws, Cutaneous Leishmaniasis, and Mycetoma).

The WHO South-Eastern Asian Office (SEARO) is requesting for organizations, researchers, and doctors to share clinical images of Skin-related diseases and NTDs. SEARO is planning to develop a training toolkit that can be utilized by peripheral healthcare workers who see patients that are affected by skin-diseases first-hand. Please support the development of this toolkit and click here to find out more about how you can share clinical images.

Enjoy reading the selection of the latest NTD publications that are listed below. Feel free to contact us to receive the full-text versions when a link to the full text is not included. We will also gladly support you with literature searches. Don't forget to scroll down to find more news and upcoming webinars!

Warm regards,
Roos Geutjes and Josephine Breman-Srivastava
