Dear ILA Members,
On behalf of the organizing committee president Prof Furen Zhang, we are pleased to share the recruitment announcement for the 4th International Training Program on Leprosy for Developing Countries, which will be held from 6–20 September 2026 in Taian and Jinan, Shandong Province, China.
The program is organized by the Shandong Provincial Institute of Dermatology and Venereology and funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of the People’s Republic of China. It aims to update knowledge on leprosy prevention and treatment, and to foster global partnerships in addressing current challenges.
Program Highlights:
Lectures on global leprosy roadmaps, China’s control strategies, clinical and research aspects, and molecular diagnosis.
Seminars for sharing country experiences and exploring collaborative opportunities.
On‑site observation visits.
Free registration, accommodation, daily living allowance, and a certificate from MOST China.
Target Trainees – Admission Criteria:
Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
At least 2 years of work experience related to leprosy.
Good English communication skills.
Able to submit a short report (<1000 words) on the current leprosy situation in their own country.
