"numbness of whole finger and little pain at the tip of the middle finger"

Ref.:    "numbness of whole finger and little pain at the tip of the middle finger"

Dear Salvatore,

Thank you very much to Dr Narahari for his message [LML October 30th, 2012].

I assume the numbness reported by the girl is of that middle finger (with pain at the top) as well.  I have seen patients with loss of sensation only of one finger (and no lesion of that finger).  The patient has no loss of sensation and opposite to loss of sensation pain at the tip.

How was she tested, except with compound muscle action potential?  Any other signs of leprosy, what about the rest of the skin and nerves?

Regards,

Pieter AM Schreuder
