Dear Pieter,
In the first place, I would like to thank Ben Naafs for his call for suggestions for a LML session at the coming congress (LML, April 10, 2022).
Among others, I would like to hear the presentation of experiences with the prevention of disability, especially in low endemic settings where leprosy control is (in some places) left at the mercy of other disease programs e.g. TB/leprosy, NTD or national communicable disease programs.
I am concerned about the loss of skills and time for basic nerve function assessment and where it happens, interpretation and response in favour of the patient.
