I am writing to kindly ask whether it would be possible to announce, through the Leprosy Mailing List, an online event that will take place on 30 June 2026 and is being organized within the framework of the 30th Anniversary of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP).
The Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP), an intergovernmental organization comprising the nine Portuguese-speaking countries, is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2026.
The event, entitled “Leprosy: Epidemiological Situation, Challenges and Cooperation Strategies in Portuguese-Speaking Countries”, will bring together experts and representatives from several Lusophone countries to discuss the current epidemiological situation, ongoing challenges, and opportunities for technical cooperation in the field of leprosy.
The meeting will be held online and conducted in Portuguese. Although the language may limit participation from some members of the mailing list, I believe the topic may nevertheless be of interest to colleagues involved in international leprosy programmes and cooperation initiatives.
If you consider it appropriate, I would be most grateful if you could share the attached announcement with the mailing list.
