Eliminating discriminatory laws
One of ILEP's key goals is to reduce to zero the number of countries with legislation allowing discrimination on the basis of leprosy. In 2008, Japan prepared a draft resolution on the elimination of discrimination against persons affected by leprosy and their family members to be submitted to the UN Human Rights Council.
