Dear colleagues,

 

The NNN has opened the submission portal for its 2023 NNN Annual Conference workshops and Rapid-Fire sessions. Deadline of submission is April 30. Additionally, the NTD Innovation Hub,  opened the submission portal for the 2023 Innovation Prize. This year they will accept submissions that leverage mapping and spatial analysis to target NTD interventions. Deadline of submission is May 15.

TDR, the Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases, has launched a Massive open online course (MOOC) on implementation research: infectious diseases of poverty. The next start date is May 1.

During the WHO Skin-NTDs meeting in Geneva that was held recently, InfoNTD announced the launch of a new content page on skin NTDs. Let us know if you have suggestions to further improve this page.

NNN Conference 2023
19-21 September, 2023
 

The NNN Conference 2023 will take place at the Hyatt Regency in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. The theme for this years' conference is: "Reaching new frontiers - powering a new generation of leadership and cross-sectoral collaborations to end NTDs." The theme reflects NNN's commitment to cross sectoral collaborations and partnerships centering endemic voices in the fight against NTDS.

 


Call for Submissions 2023 | NNN 

NNN has opened the submission portal for its 2023 Annual Conference workshops and Rapid-Fire sessions. The workshops are supposed to be 90 minutes. The Rapid Fire are supposed to be 9-12 minutes, followed by a Q&A session. For more information on the sub-themes of the conference and the submission guidance document please refer to the NNN website linked above. Deadline of submission is 30th of April. 
 


COR-NTD Annual Meeting
October 16-17, 2023

The COR-NTD Annual Meeting will be held in October in Chicago. The meeting will consists of hybrid plenary sessions, in-person breakout sessions, and a virtual Innovation Lab.
 


Call for papers: Mental health, stigma and Neglected Tropical Diseases 

The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene has launched a call for papers on mental health, stigma and NTDs, to be published in a supplement of International Health. Deadline of submission is 30 April, 2023
 


CNNTD AWARD for Outstanding Canadian NTD Research Paper in 2023

The Canadian Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases (CNNTD) launched an Awards competition to recognize an outstanding Canadian partnership research contribution in the field of neglected tropical diseases. Any researcher based at a Canadian academic or research institution: graduate student, postdoctoral fellow, scientist or faculty member. The primary (first) or senior (last) author must be a researcher based at a Canadian academic or research institution. There is no limit to the number or location of other authors. Deadline of submission is April 30.
 


Call for Proposals: Operational Research on "Endgame" Challenges | COR-NTD
 

The Neglected Tropical Diseases Support Center (NTD-SC) at The Task Force for Global Health is soliciting proposals for operational and implementation research led by country programs that address country-identified endgame challenges. This is an open call without a specific deadline. 
With this call, the NTD-SC seeks proposals for operational and implementation research nested in national programs targeting lymphatic filariasis, onchocerciasis, schistosomiasis, and trachoma.

 


RSTMH - Early Career Grant
The projects can be on any topic related to tropical medicine and global health, from across the research spectrum of lab, translation, implementation and policy, and should take up to one year. If you are an early career researcher and global health professional based anywhere in the world, your are welcome to apply for the Early Career Grant. Please note, that you should have not had research funding of more than £5,000 (GBP) or more in your name before.
Application deadline is 28 April, at 9 AM (BST)

This European Congress on Tropical Medicine and International Health 2023 will be hosted in Utrecht, the Netherlands. The focus of this year's conference is equitable and sustainable planetary health. Abstracts can now be submitted - the deadline is 30 April!
 


SANTD Symposium 2023 | Mobalizing Resources against NTDs

The Swiss Alliance against Neglected Tropical Diseases (SANTD) is organizing a symposium for stakeholders in the Swiss global health sector to exchange on resource mobilization, integrated approaches, the importance of continued innovation and ensuring access to new tools and interventions, efficient and data driven use of existing resources, and the need for sustained financing.

Reckitt Global Hygiene Institute (RGHI) Senior Fellowship Programme and International Collaboration Award.

The Senior Fellowship Program and International Collaboration Award (ICA) has been launched. The awards are designed to provide up to 3-years financial support for innovative and impactful research projects that address critical issues in hygiene. The Fellowship is open to researchers wishing to spend 50% of their time on an ambitious research and professional development programme. The ICA is designed to support new and existing collaborations between academic research institutions. Deadline for applications to both schemes is 31st of May, 2023.
