We are pleased to share a call for original clinical case reports for the special issue "Case Reports on Leprosy – A Shared Practice, 2026 Edition" of the open-access journal Hansenologia Internationalis, in partnership with the Alliance Against Leprosy Institute (AAL).
Why this matters:
Case reports remain essential for understanding unusual presentations, complications, and therapeutic responses in leprosy — especially in endemic settings. Hansenologia Internationalis (est. 1976) is the only Brazilian journal fully dedicated to leprosy and an important venue for disseminating such knowledge.
Who can submit:
Health professionals, researchers, and graduate/undergraduate students (with supervisor oversight, per Plataforma Brasil).
Submission period:
1 December 2025 – 31 March 2026
Submit : https://aal.org.br/hi-eng-2026/
Manuscripts must be unpublished and follow journal guidelines.
Publication & awards:
Selected reports will appear in Volume 51 (2026). The three best submissions will receive recognition and prizes (BRL 1,000; BRL 500; plaques).
Call to the community:
If you have noteworthy clinical cases — rare presentations, diagnostic challenges, complications, or treatment responses — we encourage you to submit and to share this call with colleagues.
