Leprosy Mailing List – December 4, 2025
Ref.: (LML) Infolep monthly overview of new publications on leprosy. November, 2025.
From: Upasana Regmi and Elizabeth Talatu Williams, Amsterdam, the Netherlands
Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to share the November 2025 edition of the Infolep Newsletter, featuring the latest research, case studies, and global updates on leprosy and related topics.
This month's issue presents a rich collection of featured articles, case reports, and new publications, spanning clinical, epidemiological, immunological, and social aspects of leprosy. Highlights include systematic reviews on self-care interventions for physical disability, studies on lepra reactions, assessments of self-help groups in reducing stigma, and analyses of global publication trends. The new publications also feature cutting-edge research on molecular diagnostics, immunology, epidemiology, and innovations in leprosy management and control. Our Portuguese-language articles further showcase important regional studies from Brazil, addressing clinical trends, pediatric cases, and public health interventions.
We would also like to take a moment to thank Upasana for her valuable contributions to Infolep. As she moves on from her role, we are deeply grateful for her dedication and commitment to strengthening knowledge sharing within the global leprosy community, and we wish her every success in her next chapter.
This month's news and events spotlight global initiatives and advocacy efforts, including progress toward leprosy elimination, international conferences, webinars, and opportunities for awards and recognition, such as the KV Desikan Memorial Award 2026.
We hope this edition continues to support your work, stimulate discussion, and provide useful resources for research, advocacy, and programmatic action. As always, we welcome your suggestions and contributions for future newsletters.
Please feel free to contact us if you would like access to full-text versions that are not available on Infolep, or if you would like our support with literature searches.
Warm wishes,
Upasana Regmi and Elizabeth Talatu Williams
