Course Overview:
This course has been designed to respond to the increasing interest in actively This course has been designed to respond to the increasing interest in actively engaging disable people is research as both researchers and participants. The objective of the course is that people, closely involved with disability issues, both disabled and non-disabled, are encouraged to identify research needs and to develop and sharpen research skills. We firmly believe research findings need to be translated into meaningful expression in the lives of people implicated in research and in order to facilitate this process advocacy and communication training skills need to be enhanced.
Course Objectives:
· Engagement disability related people (both disabled and non-disabled) in research
· Identification of gaps in disability research
· Development and sharpening research skills
· Exploring relevant and innovative research methodologies
· Encouraging critical thinking and analytical skills
· Conveying research results to relevant target groups
· Enriching the lives of disabled people and their significant others

Course fee: US$ 750 for one week
Venue: BIKASH Nepal, Pokhara
Date: 3-8 May 2015
Accommodation: BIKASH Nepal provides accommodation in single/twin sharing basis for the participants within its premises. The training fee covers, food, accommodation, training materials, one morning sight-seeing in and around Pokhara and one social evening.
